How not to go to Pushkar!

Bill and I took a very nice train from Amritsar to Delhi, like going club class on a plane! It was a 6 hour journey for a tenner each, great value. In Delhi our driver was to take us to Pushkar which turned out to be an 8 hr drive. Which meant arriving there at 8pm and leaving at 9 the next morning!! We objected, so we decided to drive as far as Jaipur ( 6 hours) then on to Pushkar the next day. Unfortunately Bill was struck down in the night, or more correctly dashing to and fro very urgently! He was was fit for nothing the next day, but after strict nursing from Nurse Wilson, he felt recovered enough to come on a sightseeing tour of Jaipur on the following. The roads there have an even more interesting mix of animals lying in the road or wandering across the carriageways, such as monkeys, pigs, camels, pigs and water buffalo along with the everyday cows, goats, sheep, horses and dogs that we are used to!!
We have now come to Ranthambore to a nature reserve for Tigers . We have been assured that we will see one (yeah right!!). Two safaris booked for tomorrow, one at dawn and one at dusk, so even if the tigers don't show we are sure to see something interesting.
