The drive to Phoenix was uneventful except for the views of thousands of huge cacti once we hit the edge of the Sonora Desert. Phoenix was huge by comparison to anywhere we had been in since Las Vegas but we found our hotel 9 close to the airport & were happy not to leave it until it was time for our flight next morning.
