Long drive from San Francisco but unforgettable scenery once we arrived at Yosemite early PM. we then drove 2 and half hours through the park & half an hour beyond to our accomm @ Mammoth Lakes stopping only a few times for unforgettable vistas & photo opportunities. The park brought my memories of black & white Ansel Adams photos of El Capitan & Half Dome to light & we had the following day to explore more thoroughly. We also spent a day going up to Mammoth Lakes proper to explore the scenery there.
