Farewell Geelong

Our last 10 days in Geelong were spent quietly apart from an evening out to Queenscliff with Tom & Pam Callaly to see Jimi Hocking in what we thought was a pub. On arrival we were fairly apprehensive when we discovered that the venue was the Uniting Church and I assumed that it was to be a dry night. On arrival the first thing we saw was the sign to the bar - quite a relief - and suitably watered we went into church for the performance which was excellent coming as it did with lots of amusing anecdotes about his long life in the business (he's in his 50's). A wine interval was followed by another set the highlight of which was - for me anyway - an instrumental version of Voodoo Chile . Another great night ! The rest  of our stay was spent with Paul,Liz,William & Sarah with nights out at Tom & Pams for a barbecue & an interesting evening at a guy called Martin's , a "Maxs-Facs" surgeon that we had met at Michael & Leslies a couple of weeks earlier. My over indulgence on both these occasions was followed by a visit to the local gym for penance ! Now New Zealand
